Veterans can be defined as the people who have provided longer services and better catering to any of the particular profession and occupation. These Veterans are the respectable seniors of the country who have dedicated their lives and their energies for the betterment of country. These veterans are many times neglected after retirements which can be the biggest losses and ineligibilities of the nation.

US Government has taken many of the steps to make the Veterans living nicely. November 11 is normally considered as the Veterans Day in USA every year. These Veterans are required two types of assistance in the later part of their lives.

* Emotional assistance

The Veterans are many times suffering from the emotional problems as they find no one beside them in the later half of their lives. The loneliness kills them from inside and also they wish to talk with some one where they can share their pains and wishes with others. These emotional Assistances are also one of the duties of societies towards these old aged Veterans.

* Financial Assistance

There are many of the services provided and offered to the Veterans by the US Government. The Disability compensations, Pension, GI Bill services, Vocational Rehabilitation and Employment to the needy in special cases, Dependent’s educational assistance, Survivor Benefits, Health Insurances, Life Insurances at lowest possible premiums, Traumatic Injury Services, Burial Allowances, Suicide Prevention, Cemeteries and many of other services are being offered by Government to these Veterans. Also the Government has set up programs for financial assistance for women and financial assistance for widows who can even enjoy their lives without their partners financially.

All of these assistances are offered eligible Veterans and they should definitely step up to have the rewards of their honorable services throughout the lives.
